Few things are ??????? ??????more painful than watching oversized construction equipment pull up next to your home, knowing the next few weeks or months will be filled with ceaseless noise.
However, if you're like Redditor fridafluff, you might still be able to hear the music even after the birds are long gone. On August 26, they posted a video in r/SoundsLikeMusic of the rhythmic construction that has been a constant outside their home the last few weeks.
And the subreddit absolutely loved it.
Some users compared it to other tracks, like Bauhaus' "Bela Lugosi's Dead" or the "Power House" track from Looney Toons. But others were inspired to summon their own masterpieces from the wreckage, like "Banging" by Redditor _Matt_Hues. The track features the banging sound from the original clip and quickly adjusts it to a funky R&B baseline.
The next day fridafluff posted another clip of the site, as the construction crew had changed their tune.
Thankfully, another Redditor stepped up with an equally impressive take for the crew's sequel.
While DemonsDenCollective's track is more in a tech house direction than _Matt_Hues's, we wouldn't be surprised if you heard either in a downtown club.
The post got so much traction that the OP, fridafluff, posted their own take on the sound, covering "Rullar Fram" by Swedish hip-hop artist Fronda.
Who knew construction could sound so good?
