Apple will commemorate Pride month 2021 with the launch of a new set of Pride-themed Apple Watch bands and period sex no protection videowatch faces.
The company introduced Apple Watch Pride Edition in 2016 and has been growing its series of Pride-inspired statement bands and watch faces over the years. Ahead of Pride month in June, Apple is releasing a new Pride Edition Braided Solo Loop, which features all of the classic rainbow colors found in a Pride flag alongside colors from various other flags representing the LBGTQ community.
"Black and brown symbolize Black and Latinx communities, in addition to those who have passed away from or are living with HIV/AIDS, while light blue, pink, and white represent transgender and nonbinary individuals," the company explained in a press release. The band, which is made with recycled yarn and silicon threads, isn't the only new Pride product, though.
A new corresponding Pride watch face, shown above, highlights the colors of the LGBTQ rights movement as well. And a new Pride Edition Nike Sport Loop, which is made with reflective yarn to aid in nighttime workout visibility, features a white base with traditional rainbow colored stripes. The new Pride Edition Nike Sport Loop pairs well with a corresponding watch face, too.
Apple released the new Pride bands on May 17, in honor of the International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia, and Biphobia. CEO Tim Cook also shared a statement to reiterate the company's commitment to inclusion and allyship.
"Even before the events at the Stonewall Inn brought the LGBTQ+ movement to new prominence, Black, Brown, and transgender activists were key leaders in the march toward equality," Cook said in a press release. "On many fronts, Apple supports the ongoing and unfinished work of equality for diverse and intersectional communities, and we want to provide every opportunity to celebrate and honor this history during Pride season."
The new Pride Edition bands are available to order now on Apple's website, in the Apple Store app, and will be available in stores on May 25. The Pride Edition Braided Solo Loop costs $99 and the Pride Edition Nike Sport Loop costs $49.
