Bad News Eagles have announced they will disband after a "last dance" at IESF, bringing an end to a storied three-year-long journey for the organization-less tag.

The Kosovar lineup formed under the Bad News Eagles banner in March 2022 and went on a Cinderella run from the RMR to the Legends Stage of PGL Major Antwerp.

Two consecutive Major appearances at IEM Rio and BLAST.tv Paris followed, with the former seeing the team eliminate FaZe in the Legends Stage, which helped earn the roster a home with GUILD ahead of PGL Major Copenhagen.

As Guild Eagles, the team struggled, failing to qualify for the Copenhagen Major and falling short in several online events and qualifiers. GUILD parted with the team in May 2024 and the lineup went their separate ways for the remainder of the year, only to reform in January under Bad News Eagles.

Early qualifier exits and struggles in online cups and competitions continued, however, and the team is now set to part ways after IESF.

"These past few months were tough and we couldn't find us improving as a team," the team's announcement states.

"Though the team is disbanding, the spirit, the legacy, and the passion for the game live on. This is not goodbye — it's simply the end of one chapter, and the beginning of many new ones."
