In today's special tennis-themed edition of "Are men OK,sex doc la really?" we have a poll in which a number of men greater than zero think they could score a point against Serena Williams in a game of tennis.
One in eight, to be specific. The poll was conducted by YouGov, which asked 1,732 individuals whether or not they thought they could score a point in a tennis match against Serena Williams. Of those surveyed, 12 percent of the men responded with "I think I could."
The actual question was phrased as such: "Do you think if you were playing your very best tennis, you could win a point off Serena Williams?"

Among women, that stunning level of confidence applies to just three percent of those surveyed. Another 14 percent of the men and 12 percent of the women admitted they just don't know. (The smart money's on no, no they cannot. Williams is one of the best tennis players in the world.)
To be clear, this isn't some damning indictment of male ego (not that you have to look far for such examples in 2019). As the survey shows, women can be overconfident to the point of absurdity too. And it's not exactly news that there are people in this world who are out of touch with reality.
Social media being what it is, though, YouGov's tweet immediately caught fire. Some people missed the joke, humorlessly pointing out that Serena could commit a double fault, giving her opponent a point without them having to actually do anything. OK.
Thankfully, most of the replies are perfect comedy.

There are so many more. Most people seem to be taking the survey question as the joke it clearly is. And the rest -- let's say 1 in 8 tweets -- possess no sense of humor whatsoever.
