Aya and older sister Emi Sakai of Fountain Valley concentrate as they decorate their paper lanterns at the one of the art stations at the Cherry Blossom Festival held at the Bowers Museum in Santa Ana on April 5.
Visitors enjoyed the family festival, which featured free art stations with face painting as well as lantern and parasol painting.
Mike Penny performs on the shamisen for the attentive audience. Entertainment was also provided by classical Japanese dancer Hanayagi Rokufumi and koto player Saeko Kujiraoka.
Taiko Center of Los Angeles entertains the visitors to the festival with some rousing taiko numbers.
