The battery life on these won't fail you either. According to Apple, all AirTags are designed to have a one-year battery life, if used regularly. They use a standard CR2032 coin cell battery, which is user-replaceable. When the battery is running low, you’ll receive a notification on your iPhone, giving you plenty of time to replace it. It also has an IP67 water resistance rating, meaning it can cope with a maximum depth of one meter for up to 30 minutes.
